|The concept of imparting technical knowledge to students and training them in various technical skills stemmed from the strong belief that an academically average student having an aptitude for the technical field could make a promising career, given the right training. Anticipating a great demand for technical skilled labour, Informatic established Informatic Academy in the year 2004 and obtained its National Vocational Accreditation from the Malaysian Government in the year 2008.
The concept of a Technical academy proved to be a boon for thousands of youths in the years to come. Passing out of the academy, they could now secure employment in Hotels ,factories or become self employed, setting up their own workshops or small scale industries. With the passage of time, Informatic also introduced vocational courses and special courses for ladies and youths to meet the changing needs of students in the era of liberalization post the early ’90s of the 20th century.
Innovative courses tailor made to cater to the local growing industry needs are also introduced, for example, courses leading to Hotel Management , Creative Multimedia and Mechatronics.
